Vintage contemporaneo why not? *** Contemporary-vintage.....why not?

"Vintage contemporaneo": a primo impatto sembrano due parole in evidente contrasto, un ossimoro, poichè in genere si tende a contrapporre passato e presente, in realtà credo che questa definizione etichetti bene una innovazione nel costume odierno che vede invece una ritrovata complicità tra presente e passato. La moda è ciclica si sa, da sempre ripropone stili e modelli del passato rivisitati in chiave nuova. Ma quello a cui assistiamo negli ultimi anni è qualcosa di diverso: un reiventare forme nuove ma preservando l'elemento retrò che non viene snaturato e reso moderno ma mantenuto così com'è, nella sua veste di testimone di uno stile del passato che anzi viene rimarcato.

"Contemporary Vintage": at first sight seem to be two words in stark contrast, an oxymoron, because usually we use contrasting past and present, instead I think this is a good definition for the actual custom innovation that sees a complicity between past and present. Fashion is cyclical as we know, always proposes styles and patterns of the past revisited in a new one. But what we are seeing in recent years is something different: a remodeling of new forms but keeping the retro element that is not distorted and made modern but kept as it is, in his role of witness to the past style that is on the contrary remarked.

Insomma, passato e presente hanno fatto pace e chi ne giova è l'universo vintage che mai come negli ultimi anni ha vissuto un boom esponenziale. Potremmo dire che lo stile del passato non è più "de-modé" bensì "à la mode".

In particolare l'abbinamento di capi ed accessori del passato con quelli attuali sicuramente conferisce un valore aggiunto. Non solo perchè permette di arricchire con un tocco di personalità un outfit che altrimenti resterebbe schiacciato dall'omologazione imperante della moda (frutto delle catene di distribuzione globali), ma anche perchè consente di recuperare dagli armadi del passato - i tanto anelati armadi della nonna - stili, forme ed indumenti che con un pò di fantasia possono essere resi attuali.

In particular, the combination of garments and accessories of the past with the present ones definitely adds value. Not only because it allows to enrich with a touch of personality an outfit that otherwise would be crushed by the type prevailing fashion (the result of global supply chains), but also because it allows you to recover from the closets of the past - the so wished grandmother wardrobe - styles, shapes and garments that can be made current with a little imagination.

Nel dettaglio, un semplice abito minimal in stile anni 50, con fantasia retrò e cintura che sottolinea la vita, ma reso moderno dai volumi soft e dalla lunghezza sopra il ginocchio abbinato ad un cardigan un pò oversize può essere personalizzato con una borsa vintage (tracolla stile postino), scarpe stringate in stile anni 30-40 "a la garçonne" o in alternativa delle "francesine" con un tacco largo media altezza.Infine occhiali da sole dalla montatura rotonda, foggia tornata oggi di gran moda, essenziali anche con lenti rotonde senza montatura in pieno stile anni 20-30. Una collana lunga con catena con orologio da taschino maschile (la cosiddetta "cipolla") può conferire un tocco di ricercatezza nel look, rendendolo più nostalgico.
